As a child, Bart Hill was witness to his parents' brutal murder while in Australia. The murderer also branded Bart with a hot iron, leaving a boomerang-shaped scar on his left chest. He was then raised by a tribe of Aborigines who trained him to become a boomerang master.
He returned to America, and fought criminals as the vigilante, DAREDEVIL. Like many other heroes, DAREDEVIL spent the years during WWII battling the Axis powers.
